My Essence

You are not standing inside a traditional gallery.

You are inside a world built around the life of an original.

My name is Tyzon Jakenbos.

My path into art did not begin in an academy or through a planned career. It began with a need to transform everything life had left inside me.

I grew up in inner Copenhagen, surrounded by violence, crime and instability. I chose to leave that world behind, but the years that followed brought loss, isolation and the need to rebuild my life more than once.

There were periods without direction or certainty.

But the fire within me remained.

Art gave it purpose.

Painting became a way to transform pressure, chaos and experience into something that could continue to live.

I am self-taught. My work developed outside institutions and trends, guided by instinct, experimentation and the willingness to destroy what was not honest enough and begin again.

I do not start with a finished image.

I begin with energy, movement and colour.

Layers are created, broken and rebuilt until the work reaches a moment that cannot be repeated. Every original carries the history of its own creation, including the layers that can no longer be seen.

Then I found an abandoned factory in Svendborg. It had stood silent for almost twenty years.

Most people saw an empty building.

I saw possibility.

Today, it is my studio and the physical centre of the TJakenbos universe.

The paintings, the Temple, the Archive, the music, the symbols and the technology are not separate projects.

They are parts of the same vision.

A living world created to protect the identity of every original and allow it to be experienced beyond the physical canvas.

To me, luxury is not excess.

It is authenticity, craftsmanship and time.

I do not paint to tell you what to see.

I search for the moment when energy becomes form, and something deeply personal becomes something another person can recognise within themselves.

Every painting begins in the factory.

Every original carries its own history.

And here, inside the Temple, that history becomes a world.
